China’s Toy Delegation Showcases Innovative Products at Tokyo Toy Show 2024
Chinese toy manufacturers are making a strong impression at the Tokyo Toy Show 2024, as a delegation of 15 companies organized by the China Toy & Juvenile Products Association (CTJPA) unveil their latest products at this annual event held from August 29 to September 1.
The trade show, held at the Tokyo Big Sight and organized by the Japan Toy Association since 1962, remains a key platform for global toy industry players to exchange ideas and explore market opportunities.
Innovative Toys from China Shine in Tokyo
The delegation of 15 Chinese companies organized by CTJPA has drawn wide attention with a variety of innovative products.
· Ningbo Three A Group Co., Ltd. is presenting its Ephemeral Dream jigsaw puzzle, which features an original illustration by Wang Xiaowan, a contemporary Chinese artist. The puzzle is made from eco-friendly materials and uses advanced printing technology to highlight intricate details.
· Century Youyi Toys Co., Ltd. is showcasing its Sluban brand, which features popular international IPs like Garfield and a range of original building block sets. Sluban, known for its STEAM-based educational toys, offers immersive play experiences aimed at children aged 6-12. The brand focuses on fostering creativity and imagination through its story-driven building blocks.
· Guangzhou McHugs Limited is showcasing its McHugs plush toys. McHugs toys are designed to offer a blend of warmth, comfort, and therapeutic benefits. Each toy incorporates imported lavender and flaxseed, which enhance their soothing properties.
· Zhejiang Hexin Toys Group Co., Ltd. brought traditional Chinese culture to life with their mortise and tenon wooden blocks. These educational toys, which showcase elements of Chinese architecture and traditional values, offer children a chance to explore Chinese heritage through play.
· Guangdong Pinqi Culture And Technology Co., Ltd. brings a range of products aimed at adult collectors, focusing on originality and thematic resonance. Their products have quickly gained popularity through partnerships with well-known international IPs.
· Qingdao Junyang Cultural Industries Co., Ltd. presents its "Panda with a Backpack" plush keychain, blending cultural charm with high-quality craftsmanship. Made from high-quality plush materials, the keychain offers a soft, comfortable touch with meticulous details.
· Ens Toys (Huizhou) Co., Ltd. displays its B.Duck series, known for its adorable design and collectible appeal across various age groups. Each B.Duck figure is crafted with innovative details, using high-quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship.
· Zhejiang Zhongxie Arts & Crafts Co., Ltd. showcases wooden toys that combine traditional Chinese aesthetics with modern craftsmanship. Their offerings include the Master Rabbit collectible, made from imported white and red wood and consisting of 1,324 precision-cut blocks. The craft, developed over five years by the company, has received a utility model patent, with design and copyright patents also pending.
· Dongguan Chenyue Gifts Co., Ltd. is displaying a variety of products at the show. Their lineup includes popular items such as toy pianos, magic wands, learning machines, kitchen toys, story machines, and reading pens. With annual sales of 10 million units, their products are sold in markets across China, Europe, North America, South Korea, and Japan.
Xiongxian Xinhuarui Plastic Co., Ltd., Nanjing Tianlihe Import & Export Co., Ltd., Yancheng Joy Foundation Cultural Creativity Co., Ltd., Yangzhou Better Toys Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Jinming Import & Export Co., Ltd. are also present, each contributing to the showcase of China's vibrant toy industry.
In recent years, Chinese designer toys and collectible toys have made significant inroads into international markets. At this year's show, companies like 52TOYS and Sootang Hobby stand out, highlighting China's innovative capabilities and cultural appeal.
The opening day also featured the announcement of the "Japan Toy Awards" 2024 winners, recognizing outstanding products from 46 companies out of 427 entries. These awards, established in 2008, aim to promote the enjoyment of toys and raise awareness of the toy industry.
Looking ahead, the next major event for the toy industry is the China Toy Expo 2024, organized by CTJPA and scheduled for October 16-18 in Shanghai. This trade show will display toys covering 17 major categories from 20 main production hubs, as a one-stop sourcing platform converging all kinds of toys for international buyers.
